Fidan Jafarova

Fidan Jafarova is currently working at Khazar University in the International Affairs Office as an International Coordinator.

In her current role, she is responsible for managing migration-related procedures for foreign students and staff, including registration, residence permit, visa processes and TKTA procedures. She coordinates incoming staff mobility and supports current international students by addressing and resolving administrative and academic-related issues.

Fidan has also been actively involved in project development and proposal writing within the field of higher education and international cooperation. In addition to her administrative experience, she has pedagogical experience in teaching English and has worked with students at different proficiency levels.

Her professional interests include internationalization of higher education, student mobility, quality assurance, and cross-cultural communication.

Zhala Mammadova

Zhala Mammadova works in international student admissions and global engagement at International Affairs Office of Khazar University, while also serving as a lecturer specializing in inclusive education, higher education policy, and internationalization. She holds an MSc in Education (Inclusive Education) with distinction from the University of Bristol. Her academic and professional work focuses on disability, equity, and accessibility in higher education, alongside international student recruitment and institutional partnerships. Zhala has experience in teaching, educational research, and digital learning initiatives, and is committed to advancing inclusive and equitable education systems.

Seyran Aliyeva

Seyran Aliyeva holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy and serves as a Coordinator at the International Affairs Office of Khazar University. In this role, she specializes in the writing, and implementation of Erasmus+ funded projects (KA171), while developing strategic international partnerships with global institutions, foundations, and organizations. Her work is pivotal in strengthening institutional cooperation and supporting the university’s internationalization goals through effective stakeholder coordination. Alongside her role, she brings extensive experience from the youth and civil society sectors. Building on her previous role as a Project Manager and National Board member of Erasmus Student Network (ESN) Azerbaijan, she currently serves as an Advisory Board member, providing strategic oversight and expert guidance on project management and decision-making processes. Her professional expertise is further highlighted by a strong track record in securing and managing grants from diverse international and national donors, including the International Visegrad Fund, the ESAA, as well as the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Additionally, her experience with the Non-Aligned Movement Youth Organization (NAMYO) further underscores her expertise in high-level stakeholder cooperation. Her combined background in higher education and project management enables her to contribute effectively to the strategic development and long-term impact of global cooperation initiatives.

Farid Guliyev

Farid Guliyev is one of the Regional Studies students at Khazar University. He is closely interested in politics and history. He closely follows political processes taking place around the world. He is currently continuing his bachelor’s education at Khazar University and is an intern at the university’s International Relations Office.

Goncha Mustafayeva

Goncha Mustafayeva is an International Relations student at Khazar University with a strong interest in global politics. Alongside her academic studies, she actively engages in international cooperation and research initiatives.

Rushana Rahimli

Intern

Rushana Rahimli is a Area Studies student at Khazar University with a strong interest in international relations and global developments across Europe, America, Asia, and Eastern countries. She values intercultural dialogue and aims to deepen her understanding of regional political, social, and cultural dynamics while contributing to future international and diplomatic initiatives.
